
Memory of the Tides No.1
This series was created from an intuitive approach to mark-making, the shapes and lines formed from one’s recollection of landscape, rather than from direct imagery. The working process blends both unintentional and intentional marks, demonstrating a push and pull between painter and paint. Much like the push and pull of the tides.
No.1 features large shapes intersecting and contrasting smaller shapes atop a blur of neutral colours.
