Memory of the Tides No.3
No.3 is a perfect balance between large and small shapes, ebbing a flowing across a veiled background of subtle texture.
This series was created from an intuitive approach to mark-making, the shapes and lines formed from one’s recollection of landscape, rather than from direct imagery. The working process blends both unintentional and intentional marks, demonstrating a push and pull between painter and paint. Much like the push and pull of the tides.
